Bhutan Cultural Exchange was founded in 2017 with a mission to foster awareness and understanding of diverse ideas that connect communities and lives through the exchange of cultural practices and values.
These two courts at Dechencholing Higher Secondary School, one of the oldest school operating in Thimphu valley, was funded by Pickleball for Good Fund’s Board Member, Jaime Schmidt in 2023.
This year’s aspiration is to bring the spirit of pickleball to 1 monastary in Chukka District, and Ugyen Academy, a school in Punakha. It will also support programming launched in collaboration with Woochu Sports Arena and Paro Football Club in 2023 (including the salary of Bhutanese Pickleball coach Nidup Dorji). Together, we can accumulate $12,500 to realize this vision. We also facilitate life-changing pickleball volunteer trips to Bhutan, and if interested, kindly contact Kathleen at [email protected].
